Explore the Plains - Back Pally Road

Explore the Plains - Back Pally Road

Take the Back Pally Rd through our rich black soil plains. In summer you will see cotton and sorghum, while winter crops include barley, wheat, canola, chickpeas and other legumes. When you reach Pallamallawa, explore the township before pulling up at the beautifully renovated Pally Pub, there’s a playground and lawn for kids to run about plus a great pub meal for the adults.

On the way back to Moree, take time for a swim or fish in the Gwydir River, at Gum Flat Reserve or Tareelaroi Weir. Both are free camping sites.

Explore the Moree Plains region on a relaxing country drive. Discover beautiful river banks, wide skies and some of Australia's best farming country.
