Mungindi Sculpture Trail

The Mungindi Sculpture Trail is a 2.5km open-air art gallery that uniquely crosses the Queensland/New South Wales border in two spots. The walk, featuring 10 raw and rustic sculptures by the late award-winning artist Tony 'Nicko' McMillan who delivers a new perspective on art and nature. To celebrate a rich life lived with honour, generosity and grace, his widow Katherine McMillan donated Nicko's remaining sculptures to the Mungindi Community - the town he loves intensely and with enduring loyalty.
Mungindi’s uniqueness continues as a town which straddles the Barwon River, with either side of the river marking the border between Queensland and New South Wales. Not only does Mungindi have two police stations on either side of the border, but this quirky town runs on two time zones in the warmer months due to eastern daylight savings time!
Mungindi is a wonderful place to take a rest on long drives through inland Australia.
